Counselling is a "talking therapy" where the
therapist gives the individual an opportunity
to explore, discover and understand ways
of improving themselves and the way they
live their lives
Counselling addresses feelings, issues
and/or problems in the "here and now" by
looking to alter any negative habits,
perceptions, and/or beliefs that may be
affecting the individual.
I adopt the Human Givens approach to therapy. This therapy uses recognised & effective brief, solution-oriented processes, offering fast, effective and practical solutions, while looking more to the future than the past. It draws on the elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal & neural techniques which international studies have shown to be consistently effective.
